Android Support! And Blessing of the Bells!

Thanks again for all of your interest in our game! We've got some exciting news for ya!
WE'VE GOT ANDROID SUPPORT!
Ok like, super SUPER beta android support. To those willing to help out, please give it a shot and let us know if you run into any bugs! Here's what we're up against at the moment:
- This doesn't have our final touch support in mind, but this does work.
- This is missing A LOT of optimizations we have done. But those are in our 2.0 build, which isn't finished yet. This will likely be more taxing on your phone than it should, BUT it should also be generally playable?
In celebration of this being done, we wanted to do a lil' update for the Itch.io build too! Here's what's included:
- The Blessing of the Bells! This is our "Winter" event featuring like, 15 illustrations or so, and some lore of the forest :> To access it, gossip with Scarlett "How is Penny able to carry all these critters?" It's available once Act 2 is finished!
- This build also has a bunch of optimizations! INCLUDING our new Cheats menus! Now you don't need to input cheats via codes! We've got new toggleable cheats located in the pause menu and the gallery menu!

Too keep ya guys in the loop. We've been going hard on revamping our entire foundation for the game. Part of it was because some of the code was becoming unmanageable for how our game has been growing. The other part was we've been needing to get some serious optimization going on as the game grows, especially for things like phone support. A lot of things are in place now, but we still have some ways to go.
Meanwhile I've been pumping out some pretty raunchy side stories! I've fleshed out a few new characters and we've gotten to further some loose ends and fun threads that were established earlier in the game!
I think we're up to like, 32 scenes in our Patreon build, from our previous 18! And we've got another animated scene that's especially saucy featuring one of our new characters! Join our patreon if you'd like to see all these updates!
That's about it for now! We'd like to thank you all again for having interest in our game! It's been a slow and steady process, and we're constantly learning new things about the dev life. But we're managing :> And super excited for the future of this game and future endeavors!
Do let us know if you come across any bugs! We have a bug report page on our site, or you can throw it down here. But please try to be a bit specific! The game is getting quite complex these days... For Patrons, our discord is the best place to submit bugs for sure!

It's been over a year since this last dev log... What happened?
eh no worries,they are just taking more time to work on act 3,so the game aint ded :P
is the game still getting updated?
yep,devs are updating the game on patreon almost every day ,so the game aint dead :P
Exactly how does one acces the event?
oh.well after the whole main story line ends.You will get an info saying that the easter bunny with a hat(Scarlet)has a new gossip unlocked :P After you gossip with the easter bunny(Scarlet)you will get a new event.
Basically this:
Then choose how is penny able to carry critters all day
And thats basically how you get the frosty event :P
is there a way to update from the previous version or import my save somehow?
Nope.As the game itself already transfers all the save data from the old version to the new version :P .I think.
There's save files, you can try to copy them and putting them inside the folder of the new version, but you can run into bugs since those save files are going to come from an old version. I bet bugs will be very likely since they changed a lot of core systems and foundations for Act 3.
It's not hard to find. [Game folder]/[Platform]/The Forest of Love_Data. In there you'll find tfol.savegame and tfolBACKUP.savegame.
I personally would just start over to be safe, but I think trying it and seeing how will it break the game also sounds fun. Who knows maybe it'll work, or maybe it can work if you just change a few lines on the save file. I just advise you to not report bugs if you do this, since you are doing something that the devs did not intend and are not trying to make compatible.
I don't think you can do this on mobile.
The devs did implemented the chapter select and being able to jump into new chapters for this reason though. You can start in act 3 instead of starting in the beggining.
any new scenes with violet?
Probably in a patreon version.

Oh.I was just guessing :P. Tho Violet and Claire are the only 2 critter that count as 1 gossip critter.So there probably will be more scenes of them.Cant say tho .Also i never really expected you to reply:p(btw MERRY CHRISTMAS !)
they apparently added a couple more gossip scenes around christmas from the looks of it
Yep.Its bassically a christmas event,with santa being replaced by a bird carrying a giant bell:p(in other words a flying hazard).Its a noice event tho,tells a lot about the past(sadly nothing about the magical rocks tho(or does it).

i can't do gossip with scarlet

For the android version, the dpad is a little tricky to use in menus and for selecting things, when moving around if you release from moving (only when pushed passed dpad symbol) rascal will keep going up until you do something with the dpad again, that's what I've found so far, I'll keep updating as I go

Will the final paid version of the game have the same features as the final patreon build or will there be patreon exclusive features?

Awesome thanks. The "paid" version I mentioned was the possible steam version mentioned on the game page.
There are some free games on steam(although i dont know the price to list a game on steam)
Sadly the forest of love is not one of them :p As the game is still in early access (even tho you cant access it).
