The Forest of Love is a NSFW furry adventure game! We took inspiration from classic top down games like Zelda, added a bit of charm from things like Animal Crossing, and hit it with a HUGE dose of raunchy smut!
What we got is a casual narrative game with charming critters! Give it a shot and see for yourself!
There's ALL SORTS of content in here! Mainly focusing on feral/cute/sizeplay. And it's all sex-positive! So far there isn't any way to customize your game experience, so try to go in with an open mind!

Itch.io only: Dustin's mini game is unreliable. Gets off beat and may result in a crash. We definitely encourage folks to download and play the game on the desktop!

The game will act funky if you bury the folder DEEP in windows explorer. For example, C/Users/Desktop/Newfolder/etc/etc/etc/etc < This sort of thing will result in too long of a directory path, and they game will act funky.

This is a Beta version for Android support in general! Things aren't optimized yet, the touch controls aren't finalized, and there may be some significant bugs. Please help us test if you can! Do report things if there are issues, we'd like to know what Android Version and Phone you're playing on!
IT'S TIME Y'ALL~! Time for ACT 2!
First off, we're pretty dang blown away the support and attention this game has received here on Itch! We're happy to see folks enthused to give our little game a try :> Thank you all for looking, playing, commenting etc! Let me answer a few questions I see coming up pretty often.
FAQ
- YES The game is in production. We do it full time, it just takes a while to make sure things are solid. On our Patreon, we have Weekly Posts, Monthly Builds, and you get access to our Discord.
- We are ONLY releasing full acts on Itch.io. Act 1 had a release, this is our Act 2 release, Act 3 will have its own, etc.
- The game is free on Itch.io. We will be looking at getting it on Steam very soon (Likely for 10 bucks or so). Patreon members, we got you, don't worry.
- We DO have touch support and Android APK! Exciting :> But it's still the early stages. Forgive us for bugs!

- Something happening in the forest? Rascal's involvement in the forest accelerates the plot and elements of the game! Act 2 starts to show what things we have planned :)
- Chapter Select! As you progress, you'll be able to hop back to previous sections of the game. This does wipe your save progress for now though. We will be working on this feature in the future, it was a bug testing thing that we decided might be pretty dope to clean up.
- Cheats Menus and Toggles! Sometimes replaying or seeing
- Particle Effects baybeeee!
- New Title Screen! It's sleek!
- Much more! We've got a few new systems in place that will flourish in our future builds!

Oh, here's a list of a few bugs we're aware of:
- Interacting with Penny will mess with the Background Audio levels in Central Forest. It'll go back to normal eventually.
- WebGL has a loud hiss that happens. Likely due to audio memory allocation for browsers.

It's not working on Android
For the android version of the game, could ya'll add a option in the settings to stop the controls from fading away please? Love the game so far just with my phones bad lag the controls don't pop up long enough to see what i'm pressing

I've seen them make other games. I think they're fine? it just takes time I guess...
is my game broke? im playing in browser rn and i got to the weird glowing shrine part and nothings happening, the critters have nothing else to say to me either, what do i gotta do???
It's been awhile since I played but I'm pretty sure that's the end of act 2, there is however more as there is a winter/Christmas story you can start. If I'm wrong can someone please correct me.

ok so, I had just finished the plant guest, and the other cutscene, when out of nowhere, I went to talk to bucky and penny, and then suddenly everyone's there?? I went and talked to each one of them and from the way they were talking I assumed they had gathered there for a confrontation or something?? Like, penny said she couldn't do nothing with her wings, so she'd be supervising from above and giving supplies, and the rat (can't remember her name srr) said she'd be making sure everything goes according to plan etc. I genuinely thought we were about to clash with a hostile neighbor town or a horde of "monsters" cause the scenery was beginning to darken and I thought maybe monsters or smt spawned at night lmaoooo cool game so far tbh

Not sure what part you're on, with that description, maybe in the start getting wood for the bridge? There's a bell by a perch to the north west corner, use that. If it's the part I'm thinking it might be.
I gotta say, this is a very cute game, it's got much more story to it than I expected, a very wonderful surprise and while yes, it's all feral, it's only feral on the physical level, the cast is very much sentient and aware and stays firmly on the side I'm comfortable with in that regard. I completed most of it's current content I think short of unlocking 4 more scenes, even did the story chain for The Blessing of the Bells, I look forward to that event after completing the story explaining it all. 🥰
I found this game on Steam and was wondering if there are still plans to port it there? Also if not perhaps a pinned post to this page would be a good idea in the discussions on Steam because trying to find this on Itch through normal means (Using the search bar to find "The Forest of Love") was not working for me but a friend managed to find it for me. <3
From what I saw a while ago here in the comments, the game will be released on Steam when Act 3 is completed. It will take a while because they will have to remake the game from scratch again and there are only 2 people working on this game

Developer, I don't know if what I'm about to say has ever been mentioned before, but your game, very fun apparently, has, in my humble opinion, the error of not running on the "SAMSUNG Galaxy A04e". I know it's a selfish request, but brother: it does its job well on devices at the level of the Galaxy A04e.

I started playing today and I honestly really enjoyed it. I loved each character. My favorite is a certain little mouse. I spent half the time wanting to see her interaction with our character. I eagerly await updates and new characters.

how do we unlock the cave on top of the mountain?
honestly? I had to turn on cheats to beat Dustin's challenge lol and the cave is for act 3, once they update the game to act 3 it'll be unlocked.
I also turn on the cheat for dustin games XD but i have done the legit way for the seed collector and if i remember we only have like 2-3 mission with the cave/ mountain... (if it's the one with the bear and the wolf)

It's... well, clearly passionate, and has a lot of work into it. Clear vision, style, heart.
I take some personal issues with the sex, but it's just personal nitpicks, like how incredibly easy everyone seems to cum. Seems like someone could say a dirty word and someone from the cast would shoot ropes. Or how the knot functions during sex as a not... knot.
Nevertheless, it's kinda hard to dislike it, or think of it as anything less than good. Commendable effort and result.
If you're on the fence and like what tags are in the warning, check it out.
The animation and graphics are impressive, and charming as hell for something smut.

Really enjoyed this. I almost never comment on itch stuff, but the combination of cozy vibes and sex positivity really got to me. The characters are all really endearing, I found myself going "Aww!" constantly.
I don't have the funds currently to support patreon, so I hope act 3 comes to itch eventually. I enjoyed this so much I'm struggling with the problem of wanting to recommend an adult game to friends!

It says right there in the description that itch updates, but only when the full act is out. Pretty sure that's just an early version that's available for patreons only.

act 3 hasn't been done, they are still working on it, friendly reminder that is only two working in a whole game, once is done they will share it here and maybe also steam.
I think I've got about an hour in this game and it's already telling me that I've seen all of the available content of the public release.
I think the at style is charming, I like that it's more of a relaxed storyline (so far), all of the little touches really make the game feel good, it's good work.
Just... The time it took for acts 1&2 to come out, 1.5 years for both acts, vs now nearly 3 years for act 3...
There just not enough content to fall in love with a project that's taking this long to come out with a new update.
it's important to remember that only 2 independent people are in this project and they might not be able to do as much coding as before, or do more coding than before depending on how their lives go.
They might have the statistics and values and see if their efforts meet the expectations, which can't be too motivating if your game isn't dang popular...
In short, let's not forget the workers on this game are only 2 independent people minding their own lives...
Stardew Valley was made by one person in 4.5 years. This is two people you say sitting on 4.5 years and they only have an hour's worth of content.
Let that sink in.
I don't want to be rude or harsh but I don't get it, why do they "have to" make a game in short time period? it could be 3 people, 4 or 100, doesn't matter, that's not their full time job. Are you looking for NSFW workers to hire? that's not how and where you do it. And besides, this game offers more content and gameplay than most other NSFW furry games I've played here, might not be the best but it's good.
It's just wrong to compare and judge 2 independent people who made a NSFW furry game for others to play, to someone who had the skills of coding a game like Stardew Valley.
Perhaps if you didn't fund hundreds of dollars to them, they don't really own you too much and that's not your concern,, right?
I think it's important to remember that this is a review, and there's nothing unethical about saying why I think this game is not worth me dedicating a monthly portion of my income for content that is barely trickling out. I don't get how you can't understand that. I think it's important to remember most of us have other monetary obligations that leave us with too few dollars to spare on entertainment, and would rather be informed before we've invested our money into someone else's weekend tinkering. It's like buying someone else's kid a new model airplane to build every month. It's cute, and that kid sure appreciates it, but people just don't have the cash to be giving to every kid that might appreciate it.

Then we're not interested. It's one thing to charge a fee to play the game, it's another thing entirely to expect people to pay a monthly premium to play a game that's taking several years, at this rate over a decade, to complete.

But is there any act 4 content on the patreon? If not, 3.5 just means they are either 50% done with the act 3 content, or are still working on making adjustments to act 3 before releasing the full act here and moving on to act 4 on the patreon.

Got bell, and 12 planks.. Is there a Control Binds menu? something to show what buttons do what for keyboard or controller?? Because i cant activate the bell to get back across the water. :( I tired all my keyboard keys, and all my controller buttons and i cant activate the bell.
You use the bells at the bird roost's to call her to pick you up and go to another roost. If you don't have the floaties to swim I believe you race the dude to the south of that area or something.
TY not as used to the dynamic of context sensitive locations for item use. Seen such in games before but only verry rarely.
Where is the bird roost in main island?

Once you do that you unlock the ability to get something that lets you get across again.

Heya! I'm playing on an amazon kindle, it's the only thing I got lol, and when I open the android game, the unity logo plays, then it shows just a black screen, then it crashes, the menu doesn't even show, and android games usually work fine. Is there going to be a fix for this problem sometime soon?
unfortunetly I am not aware of any fix to provide to amazon kindle I'm afraid, don't know if you are playing from the brower or downloaded the phone app.
